Ultrasonic Liposuction for Body Slimming

Ultrasonic liposuction is a fat removal procedure that mainly functions to reshape your body rather than drastically reducing your weight. One of the most difficult parts of the body to target for fat removal is the so-called “love handles.” These are areas that include the abdomen, arms and thighs.

Liposuction remains to be a safe and effective method of eliminating large deposits of unhealthy fats. It could remove cellulite deposits that have been difficult to remove with diets and exercise. Ultrasonic liposuction on the other hand is more suited for reshaping certain areas of the body. However, it does provide all the benefits of liposuction although in a more limited fashion. These include:

Benefits of Ultrasonic Liposuction

  • Decreases amount of body fats
  • Helps reshape target areas
  • Improves self-esteem and self-confidence
  • Better cardiac health with the reduction of fat cells in the body

One advantage of ultrasonic liposuction over traditional liposuction is the absence of invasive procedures and its accompanying health risks.

How does Ultrasonic Liposuction Work

Ultrasonic liposuction works by utilizing the power of high frequencies similar to ultrasound equipment to breakdown fat cells. High frequency is concentrated in target areas to destroy far cell membranes. This does not destroy surrounding skin and blood vessels or nerves.

Fat cells are eliminated from the body through the lymphatic system. These are ultimately flushed out of the body naturally as waste products. This eliminates the need for using invasive procedures to manually remove fat cells.

Results could be seen in as little as four to six treatments. To make treatments more effective, patients are advised to stick to a healthy diet and engage in physical activities. Drinking alcohol a few days after the procedure is discouraged. Patients are also encouraged to drink lots of water to assist in flushing out fat cells. The amount of fat cells dislodged differs from one person to another. But on average, ultrasonic liposuction can remove a pound or 1.5 inches from the target area.

The number of treatments required for each patient largely depends on the amount of fat to be removed. Because ultrasonic liposuction is limited in terms of the volume of fat cells that could be destroyed in each session, multiple treatments are advised. Anywhere from 5 to 20 treatments are performed to produce optimum results.
